Transport strikes in Sicily: DAD activated for compulsory courses from 19 to 22 October
Following the request of the Student Representatives, the theoretical lessons will take place on Microsoft Teams to facilitate those who have difficulty moving. Internships and practical activities remain present
The logistical difficulties related to the transport strikes planned in Sicily these days risked heavily penalising commuters and out-of-state students. To overcome this inconvenience, following the formal request presented by the Board Members within the Degree Course Boards, an extraordinary measure was obtained to protect the right to study and continuity teaching.
Microsoft Teams Theoretical Lessons
Beginning today, Monday, October 19, and ending Thursday, October 22, the temporary activation of Distance Learning (DAD) has been arranged for theoretical lessons belonging to compulsory undergraduate courses.
During this time, classes will only take place remotely. The delivery of the teaching will take place regularly through institutional channels on the Microsoft Teams platform.
⚠️ Note the exceptions: internships and practical activities
The emergency measure strictly and exclusively concerns lectures of a theoretical nature.
All those activities that necessarily require physical presence on site – such as internships, practical exercises and professional activities – are not covered by this suspension and remain subject to the specific provisions and schedules already established.
How to organize
We invite all students to promptly consult the e-learning pages and Teams channels of the individual teachings to retrieve the access links to the classrooms and check the teachers' communications regarding the schedules.
The Morgana and O.R.U.M. associations will continue to actively monitor the situation and provide you with all the necessary updates, maintaining the goal of protecting the needs of the entire student community in the face of any unforeseen event.
