Admission to Master's Degrees in Health Professions 2026/2027: online the UniMe call

The University of Messina has issued the official call for admission to the first year of the Master's Degree courses in Health Professions (LM/SNT1, LM/SNT2, LM/SNT3) for the Academic Year 2026/2027. Access to the courses is a national programmed number and requires the passing of a special admission test.

The places available

For this academic year, the University's educational potential includes the following distribution of total posts:

• Nursing and Midwifery (LM/SNT1): 129 total posts.

• Rehabilitative Sciences of Health Professions (LM/SNT2): 53 seats totals.

• Health Professions Sciences Diagnostic Techniques (LM/SNT3): 51 total seats.

How to register and deadlines

The registration procedure must be carried out exclusively online, through the University's Esse3 portal, no later than hours 12:00, 23 September 2026.

• A trial fee of €50.00 is due by the same deadline.

• During online registration, candidates with additional qualifications must complete and upload the self-assessment form ("Annex 2") combined with a valid identity document.

• Each candidate has the option to express only one preference for the degree program of interest.

The Admission Test: Structure and Subjects

The test will take place on October 5, 2026 starting at 11:00 am, and candidates will have 120 minutes to complete the course. The test consists of 80 multiple-choice questions (with five answer options), divided as follows:

• 32 questions of theory and practice relevant to the specific healthcare profession.

• 18 general culture and reasoning questions logical.

• 10 questions on the regulation of professional practice and health legislation.

• 10 questions aimed at ascertaining the scientific-mathematical culture, statistics, computer science and knowledge of the English language.

• 10 science questions social sciences (psychology, pedagogy, teaching, sociology, philosophy, management).

Classroom Assessment and Disciplinary

The maximum score achievable for the formulation of the ranking is 100 points: 80 points assigned to the written test and 20 points derived from the evaluation of academic qualifications and professionals.

• For the written test: 1 point for each correct answer, 0 points for each answer not given and a penalty of -0.25 points for each incorrect answer.

• Assessable qualifications, to be certified during enrolment, include: academic or educational qualifications (up to 3 points), professional activity in the NHS or freelance profession (up to 4 points), senior or coordinating functions (up to 5 points), formal teaching or tutoring assignments (up to 5 points) and research/publication activities (up to 3 points).

On the day of the exam, in order to be admitted to the classroom, it will be mandatory to present a valid identity document, the receipt of payment of the contribution and the receipt online registration. It is strictly forbidden to introduce and use mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, handwritten notes or reference material; failure to comply with these rules will result in the immediate cancellation of the test.
