Filter semester: the extension of the deadline for validations is officially requested

In these hours we have collected numerous reports from students enrolled in the Filter Semester about a computer disruption that is creating no small concern: many colleagues are in fact experiencing problems in the activation and correct functioning of the institutional email boxes assigned to them.

The technical problem and the urgency

Having access to your University email is now a fundamental requirement: it is in fact strictly necessary to be able to access and fill out the appropriate form aimed at validating the teachings.

The situation is particularly urgent for two main reasons:

• The deadline imminent: The deadline for filling out the form is currently set for August 24, 2026 at 12:00 pm.

• Summer closure: The temporary suspension of the Secretariat's activities, due to the University's vacation period, has inevitably affected the timeliness of the interventions necessary to resolve these technical problems.

The intervention of Morgana and O.R.U.M.

We believe it is essential that all interested parties are guaranteed the necessary time to complete the procedure, without technical disruptions – not dependent in any way on the conduct or will of the students – becoming a penalty for their path academic.

For this reason, our representatives in the Academic Senate (Veronica Consentino) and the Board of Directors (Marco Parisi) intervened promptly, forwarding a formal request to the Magnificent Rector, Prof. Giovanna Spatari, and to the General Director, Dr. Pietro Nuccio.

We have officially asked the University to extend the deadline of 24 August, granting an appropriate additional deadline that allows students to complete the form in total serenity, but only after that the correct functioning of the institutional mailboxes will have been fully restored for all.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and liaise with the relevant bodies. None student should be penalized for a technical problem. By the side of the students, always.
